In New England, it is getting cold and the leaves are changing colors, however September & October are the height of the rainy season in Nicaragua.
Some of you have heard about Pastors Bladimir and Osmani. These two men were in a terrible road accident. Pastor Bladimir passed away and Pastor Osmani was badly injured. Please pray for their two families and for healing for Osmani. Pray for the churches they pastored, that the church folks would continue strong in their walk with God and in church involvement.
On the bright side, God is continuing to raise up individuals and churches who are partnering with me. Over the last month, 3 new families have joined the team of partners and we are now at 38%. Two more churches will be voting in the next month or so on the possibility of partnering as well.
During the last 7 weeks, it has been a blessing to visit with other single missionaries on furlough and hear of what is happening in the countries where they serve. Always inspiring to hear other people’s stories.
In turn, opportunities have been popping up to be a blessing to people in Connecticut/Massachusetts who are going through tough or challenging times. Grateful for these chances to encourage and help young moms as well as some single gals. And at work there have been a few times of praying for co-workers facing difficult circumstances. Last night our church did a community outreach event to families that was a lot of fun.
This weekend, the goal is to take a step back and spend some deep time seeking the Lord and refocusing for the long-haul. Thank you for your ongoing prayers for what God wants to accomplish.
