TO HIM BE THE GLORY – FINANCES
HUGE CELEBRATION THIS WEEK!!!
Another church voted to partner with me as a monthly supporter! We have jumped up to 66.7%!!!
Our God is doing the impossible. At the start of the lockdown I was at 53%. That means we have gone up over 13% during a global pandemic. God is proving over and over that He wants me in Nicaragua.
Welcome Westfield Church to the team!!! Grateful for your heart for missions.
If we can get to 85% by the end of OCTOBER, I can attend the FINAL TRAINING with my missions agency in November.
Which pastors/churches do you know, that you could connect me to? Looking to expand the sphere of people/churches involved.
TO HIM BE THE GLORY – OPPORTUNITIES
When my job ended back in April, I started trying to go out walking 2 or 3 times per week at different local parks. In the last several weeks, God has arranged a couple of “divine appointments” with people that I meet on these walks.
One woman was at her wits end facing extreme marital and financial hardships. God allowed me the opportunity to be a listening ear and then a prayer partner to her. “C” is a believer but was so overwhelmed she needed encouragement that God and fellow believers were there for her in the midst of this hard time. What a privilege to pray with her and be an encouragement.
Another time, after a day at the beach, while washing my hands, a woman next to me commented on how nice it was to be clean (she had been camping and hadn’t showered in 3 days and couldn’t wait to get home). That led to an opportunity to share a gospel tract with her and share how God can make our minds and hearts clean too.
TO HIM BE THE GLORY – CHURCH
Our church started re-opening with outdoor services the past 6 weeks and it has been wonderful to be back with our church family and also to see God using the outdoor services as a way to connect more to people in our community. We have had new visitors every week.
And I continue to have the joy of leading the weekly Zoom call for our Junior Church kids. During the month of July we studied the life of Jesus and what it looks like to be one of Jesus’s disciples.
TO HIM BE THE GLORY – NICARAGUA
Please keep praying for the spiritual and economic needs of the people of Nicaragua.
Even in the middle of COVID, God is continuing to bring people to Christ and to help new churches keep going.
If you have Amazon Prime and would like to see a glimpse of what life in rural Nicaragua is like, I found an episode about school children in Nicaragua (It is Season 2, Episode 1 of a show called “The Most Dangerous Ways to School”). Real look at “the day in the life of” school kids in Nicaragua’s rural parts. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B07DY1FD1B/ref=atv_wl_hom_c_unkc_1_4
